Kraken Rum
I have always liked the design of the kraken label. Designed by Stranger & Stranger this bottle proves to be one of the most unique rum bottles on the shelf. I really liked how they tied in the old history of the kraken with the old style illustration. They also designed the bottle like the old victorian bottles which made the brand look even more well established.
Hallo Sans Typeface
This typeface was designed by Fredrik Staurland. What really caught my interest with this typeface were the way the numbers were designed. Usually within typography the numbers are designed more or less the same but the numbers in Hallo really have a unique character to them. I most like the curves in the four, five and six.

Gold & Silver book design
I really liked the concept of this book and how it focused on the metallic trend in design. It had some really nspirational examples inside of how I could use metallic ink to emphasize certain parts of a design. Metallics are a great tool for design because they are fascinating to touch and give an impressive appearance. There are also more in the series designed by viction:ary. This book series includes a book on Black & White and Multicolour. For more on the Gold & Silver book

Paradise Gourmet: Exotic Coffee Packaging
This coffee package design was done by the design studio Artemov Artel. I loved how they used gold foil for each character on the tins. It was also interesting to note that each character was chosen to represent each country where the particular coffee was made.

Stylish Eve
It was very inspiring to see how this logo was developed from multiple concepts put together. I usually think designs are complicated if more than a few ideas are formed into one but this proved me wrong. The designer Ramin Nasibov out of Pixelinme has designed a logo to represent the grace of fashion and the symbol of Eve. I also liked how they extended the logo into a pattern which could be used as part of their identity.
Better Together Rebrand
This was an amazing rebranding project done by Chase Design Group. It inspired me to really think about how an illustration can work as a pattern and an identity mark on a package. They used the different flavour illustrations along with colour to help the consumer differentiate between the different flavours and I believe they have done an excellent job. The colours are bright an illustrations clearly depict what flavours they are. For more on this redesign project check out the article.

Watercolour in Package Design
I found this package design as part of a collection called: 15 Wonderful Watercolor Package Designs
. Designed by OD, It was my favourite piece in the collection because it showed me that not all package or graphic design has to be digital. Watercolour is such a beautiful form of art that can be incorporated into many different aspects of design. It was also interesting how OD designed all the tea packages on a type of tray to look like a paint palette. In terms of typography, I really liked the hand drawn lettering on the front of the packages.
