Geometric Lion
This is a great example of how geometric shapes can make an amazing impact. Event though this is technically a tattoo design this style can be applied to all areas of design... especially logo's. Tattoo was designed by Sasha Unisex and her other designs are great inspiration as well.

Pietro Gala
Another example of a great use of a custom dieline is this pasta packaging by Fresh Chicken. I really enjoy the simplicity of these packages and the untreated cardboard.

Beehive Honey Squares
This design by Lacy Kuhn is a great example of an effective dieline. It's an excellent reminder to use creative cut outs to further emphasize a design.

I Love Type Book Set
Here's another book design by viction:ary. This particular design was not the reason for my inspiration here it was more the subject of the books. I actually wish I could purchase this book series because I find it interesting to learn about everything that relates to one typeface. Sure there's the history but there are so many more facets to a typeface including how it was used and abused as well as famous appearances it has made.

Wishbone Wine
This label was designed by Mayra Monobe in collaboration with The Creative Method. It really brings to life the idea of a wishbone and the tradition of breaking it for good luck. It made me think of label on packaging as more than just labels and instead much more interactive.

Bipolar Logo
I thought this logo was so simple but very effective. I learned that not everything has to be a complex design, just as long as it gets the message across. Done by Josiah Jost of Siah Design.

Self Identity
This is a self identity done by Leonardo Gubbioni. His detailed design really inspired me to look at how lines in a design can relate to one another. It reminded me that I really have to focus on balance and how aspects of a logo fit together.
